In days gone by, and indeed today still - it is important that your big day is captured via photography, enabling you and your family to cherish and relieve all of those special moments. Your memories may fade, our photos will not!

Since the advent of video cameras, it has been popular to capture the key moments via video as well, really enhancing the ability to relive the look and feel of the day.

In the past, this has usually required paying for the services of a dedicated wedding photographer, and a dedicated wedding videographer - two lots of money to pay! Unfortunately, both teams are usually trying to capture the same precious fleeting moments, and can often get in each others way - unless they work well together! It is not uncommon for either team to miss a key moment due to this.

Fast forward to today, and the current range of modern cameras that exist - most of these have the ability to capture breathtaking stills images, as well as usually (at least) 4K video - more than enough for incredible video playback on your large TV! All that it takes is the skill and expertise of your 'hybrid shooter' to quickly flick the camera between photo and video modes, to be able to capture both all on one device!

The Advantages are:
1. There is no getting in the way of each others shot
2. You will generally pay less for hybrid shooting coverage vs two dedicated teams
3. Your hybrid shooter will usually edit photos / videos similarly, adding to the cohesiveness and beauty of your delivered gallery & video

The Disadvantages are:
1. It is difficult for a hybrid shooter to deliver the length of wedding video usually seen from a dedicated videography team (usually 15+ mins)
2. It can take a while longer for your hybrid shooter to deliver your wedding photos & video, as opposed to two separate teams taking care of the editing

When you hire us for the hybrid shooting packages, we aim to provide a ‘highlight video’ of the key moments of the day – usually 3-5 minutes long, as well as the photo gallery. In our experience, this is the perfect length to relive the day, and share with friends and family. We will deliver the video in full high resolution (for home TV playback) and well as a compressed version suitable for sharing on social media.

In Summary:

If you want a full length wedding video and wedding photography, a dedicated team for each is still the way to go. However, if a 3-5 minute long wedding highlight video and wedding photography is suitable for you, then a hybrid shooting package should be high on your list for consideration!
